Hello Fish Fans, We’ve had the pleasure of fishing the gulfstream waters off the coast of Stuart Florida and the waters off the Bahama Bank the last month catching dolphin, tuna, wahoo, kingfish, snappers and grouper.

The dolphin bite in May was disappointing this year off the coast of Stuart. We caught some nice dolphin but they we’re scattered about like the weeds and never got the red hot dolphin bite we’re accustom to. The constantly changing wind directions and weekly blasts of westerly winds kept the best dolphin bite on the Bahamas side of the gulfstream. Larger schools of schooling size dolphin will begin drifting north on the weed patches 15 to 20 miles offshore this month.

The blackfin tuna that stack up on a ridge about 10 miles off the beach during the springtime are just now showing up. They’re not stacked up but we’re catching 6 to 8 on most of our Stuart Florida Fishing Charters. These blackfins are football size from 5 to 10 pounds but we’ve caught a few in the 15 to 25 pound class. The blackfins will continue to provide good action throughout the summer months on most days.

The summer sailfish bite will get fired later this month as the Spanish sardines stack up on the reefs and wrecks off the coast of Stuart. The summer months are an excellent time to catch sailfish for those who want to avoid the choppy waters of the winter migration but have always wanted to catch a couple of sailfish. There’s allot of kingfish around the reefs and wrecks so there’s plenty of action in-between the sailfish bites.

We had several charters to the Bahamas last month and caught dolphin, tuna, wahoo, marlin, snappers and grouper. June and July is prime time for a Bahamas Fishing Adventure aboard the REEL BUSY and we’ll customize your charter to catch your desired species. We’ll be running and gunning for Yellowfin Tuna, Trolling for Blackfin Tuna, wahoo and Marlin, Deep Dropping for Queen snapper, Yellow eye snappers and grouper , Shallow water fishing for mutton snapper, yellowtail snapper and grouper. There’s no place better than the Bahamas during the summer months so give us a call today book a charter you’ll never forget.

Our 42′ Viking Express will retire our 35 Cabo Express this month. The Seakeeper installation is almost complete and I can’t wait to take you fishing on our new sport fishing machine. I’ll be back reel soon with another fishing report from Stuart Florida and the Bahamas. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
